ESA Letters for College Students
Dorms count as housing under federal law — which means your support animal can live with you on campus. Letter in 10–15 minutes after approval. No charge unless you're approved.
Why your school can't just say "no animals"
College piles every stressor on at once: new city, hard classes, first time away from home. The law takes that seriously — and so do we.
Dorms = Housing
The government and the courts treat residence halls as "dwellings" under the Fair Housing Act. That means schools must consider ESA requests — no-pet dorm rules or not.
Student Stress Is Real Stress
Anxiety, depression, panic disorder, PTSD, and serious adjustment struggles can all qualify — when a licensed doctor finds that an ESA truly helps.
Off-Campus Too
The same letter protects you in private student apartments near campus — ending no-pet rules, pet rent, and deposits like any California rental.
From evaluation to move-in day
Everything happens by video, with evening and weekend times that never clash with lectures.
1. Book Around Your Classes
Slots run 7 am to 11 pm every day. The scheduler works at 2 am too, night owls.
2. Private Video Visit
A licensed California doctor, a confidential talk. Your school never learns your diagnosis — only your accommodation need.
3. File With Disability Services
Your letter arrives 10–15 minutes after approval. Send it to your campus accessibility office with their ESA form — we help fill out school paperwork free.
What students ask us
My school bans pets in dorms. Does that beat my ESA letter?
No. Pet rules apply to pets — a documented ESA is a disability accommodation under federal law. Schools can only refuse in narrow cases, and "we have a pet ban" isn't one of them.
Is there an age requirement?
Our evaluations are for adults 18 and up — which covers almost everyone in university or off-campus housing.
Will my school find out my diagnosis?
Not from us. Your letter shows your need without naming a condition, and any verification we handle keeps that line firm.
Can my ESA come to class or the dining hall?
Usually no — ESA rights cover housing only. If your dog is trained to do psychiatric tasks, a PSD letter gives wider access under the ADA.
What does a student letter cost?
Same fair pricing as everyone: $129 for up to 2 animals, $99 yearly renewals — billed only after the doctor approves you. See the prices page.
Four years is too long without your best friend
